On the other hand, sometimes you just have to do what feels right. I quit tech to work in a cafe, and you could definitely paint my story as failing to make it in tech. But from my perspective I was just tired of burning out pouring my heart into something that doesn’t care at all about me. Some of his comments in the article re: getting stressed about policy he has no control over makes me think he was having a bad time as well. At the very least, knowing how politicians are and how this man writes, there surely must have been a disconnect between him and many of his peers.
