But Where Do People Work in This Office? (2015)
- 082349872349872 3y agoFor me, a door that closes is necessary to call something an "office". (a window that opens is merely helpful)
- JohnFen 3y agoYep. Otherwise, it's a cube farm. Or, worse, an open office layout. The irony is that cube farms are not conducive to actually getting work done. In an open office layout, it's basically impossible.
- sleepybrett 3y agoApple vision pro to the rescue ;)
- pavel_lishin 3y agoHow so?
- sleepybrett 3y agoMostly blocks vision, blocks sound... who cares if your stacked in classroom rows.
- jalapenos 3y agoHaving worked in an open office, can confirm. If you ever want to appreciate your cubicle, go to a busy coworking space and borrow a "hot desk" for the day - basically the same.
- abeppu 3y ago... and even in the current context, where some companies really want more people to work from the office, and many offices are vacant, I still have yet to see any job ad say "commute 3 days a week and we'll give you an office rather than a cube"
