And PFAS do not go away, they seep into the environment and continue their impact.
- refurb 3y agoMy comment went right over your head. PFAS is a group of chemicals. Not all of them are harmful.
- jdiff 3y agoTeflon is. Just because it has uses doesn't mean it's not harmful. And PFAS, as a group, are harmful. To date I have not found anything stating otherwise.
- refurb 3y agoHow is a “group” harmful when elements of that group aren’t. Seems silly not to make a distinction. It’s like saying metals are bad because lead is toxic.
- jdiff 3y agoAs I said, I have not found any exceptions to the rule that PFAS are toxic. It's silly to say "hey, not all water is wet" when all the water seen to date has been. You've mentioned one member of the group so far and it's a toxic one.
- refurb 3y agoTeflon is not toxic. It's why it's used in medical implants. Saying PFAS are "toxic" is like saying "metals are toxic". It's just silly.
