At least from my perspective it's not so much whether someone puts themself out there, as much as the format kinda treating the authors of comments as interchangable. Like, it's unlikely I'll recognise a name from a previous comments section or post, simply because it's such a minor part of the page and so de emphasised compared to what they posted. I know that people here are usually not toxic, and I wouldn't be worried about sharing personal info that much, but it's just an 'all names kinda blend in with this format' thing.
