The official Rails job board is live
- nadermx 3y agoI'm a fan of microniche job boards
- retrac98 3y agoI’m so pleased to see the resurgence rails is having right now. It’s such a great framework and is an absolute joy to work with.
- DecentRecruiter 3y agoInteresting. Is there data to back up this resurgence? I wonder what's causing it.
- block_dagger 3y agoIt remains to be seen the quality of positions posted, but I for one will keep an eye on this and remain hopeful it will thrive!
- jameswatling 3y agoAny plans to add a "looking for a job" feature. ie I am a rails developer and want to host my equivalent profile on the site?
- nevinera 3y agoIt's an awkward space - requiring us to pay them to put our profiles there is the main way to keep the content valuable/accurate.. but while that's fairly typical for hirers, it'd feel scammy to job-seekers. I think there's room for such a service, but growing it into a viable model would be a real project, and probably not a distraction a business would want to take on except as a pivot.
- andrewstuart 3y agoThat doesn't really work for the business model of job boards. Job boards want the potential employees to need to respond to job adverts, which are paid for.

- andrewstuart 3y agoI'm surprised it's taken, what 15 years? This would have made many millions had it been launched day one. Finding Rails people has always been a nightmare - at least where i live. Recruiters and employers have a budget to spend on job ads. Often what happens with there job boards is they start with "no recruiters!", then they move to "no recruiters, unless you say full details of the job", then they realise just how much money recruiters have in the budget to spend on job ads (it's alot), and they give up the principles and happily take the recruiter cash.
