Envisioning AGI as a Continuously Evolving Entity

This is just a basic viewpoint. I'm of the opinion that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) shouldn't be perceived as, or even operate in, a simple query-and-response manner. To me, it seems it would function in a state of perpetual activity; constantly absorbing information and evolving. This means it would be in a state of ongoing self-development, either progressively enhancing itself or making errors and learning from those missteps. To suggest that a chatbot represents AGI is akin to comparing it to a human who is incapable of advancing their thinking without external stimuli. In a chatbot's framework, AGI would have the capability to initiate conversation independently, without the need for input from a user.
