The interactive display for grasping Emacs? [video]
- sargstuff 3y agoComment follow-up explaination to orginal post https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38418678 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38418678 More 'neutral' western cultural reference would be greek fates & weaving timelines [0] Still comes down to how one aligns/frame's the points/nodes. [2][1][3][4][5] With this device, have single integrated reference vs. multiple information reference frames [6] that one has to manual integrate into single reference (individual nodes & associate lisp lists/branches vs. visually immersive real-time interactive 3d lisp grid/spreadsheet(s) without the need to switch to python to get rid of the ()'s. Wrong generation for grid programming using punch lines on punchcard for notational reference, all just dry e-ink pixelated spreadsheet points. So, emacs uses lisp s-expression / tree of lists structure projected onto 2d picture tube plane. Interactive 3d display allows for 'true' volumetric presentation / interaction with lisp emacs lists/tree nodes/branches without all the extra bulky devices getting in the way (keyboard, mouse, emacs key sequences, etc). Loomless thread weaving for true hands-on coding experience. 'Minority Report' interface in a cube box? Better lead in might have introduced Pal Alto visual programming language where irl objects used to program/as program -- where above device would allow for not just irl but virutal interaction. Loki tv show spoiler alert Pehaps the ending of season 2 Loki, where grabs all the timelines/threads is a better 'emacs' picture? ----- [0] : https://www.thecollector.com/fates-greek-mythology/ https://www.thecollector.com/fates-greek-mythology/ [1] : water droplets : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG_l1oacWoQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG_l1oacWoQ [2] : wintergatan : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q [3] : treesitter : https://tree-sitter.github.io/tree-sitter/ https://tree-sitter.github.io/tree-sitter/ [4] : neovim treesitter : https://github.com/nvim-treesitter/nvim-treesitter https://github.com/nvim-treesitter/nvim-treesitter [5] : l-systems : https://gpfault.net/posts/generating-trees.txt.html https://gpfault.net/posts/generating-trees.txt.html (L-systems vs Chomsky grammars https://www1.biologie.uni-hamburg.de/b-online/e28_3/lsys.html https://www1.biologie.uni-hamburg.de/b-online/e28_3/lsys.htm... ) [6] : https://study.com/academy/lesson/orthographic-projection-definition-examples.html https://study.com/academy/lesson/orthographic-projection-def...
