OpenAI's 'superintelligence' breakthrough so big it wrecked company, & ChatGPT
- belalebrar 3y ago'Dr Frankenstein to the red courtesy phone please'...
- wg0 3y agoWondering if another species (lizards, cats) were climbing the intelligence ladder towards super intelligence, we would have declared that species as the biggest threat, bigger than climate change.
- mnky9800n 3y agoCats could be super intelligent and just not care.
- JumpCrisscross 3y agoCurious how AI’s world-ending potential seem to become most dangerous and significant around valuation milestones.
- mnky9800n 3y agoI wonder how much it costs to get a techradar blog to write about it?
- joegibbs 3y agoThis is a common view but I’m skeptical about it in this case. The whole board struggle seems like it blindsided everyone and was somewhat influenced by the breakthrough. I doubt that MS and OpenAI would want to cause that much case merely to get people talking about the new AI they’d developed, in that case they could’ve just gone out and said it.
- JumpCrisscross 3y ago> whole board struggle seems like it blindsided everyone and was somewhat influenced by the breakthrough I have no doubts the belief is genuinely, one might even say devoutly, held by some of its promulgators. My questions are whether it is true, and whether there are some who profit from its repetition who don't think it is but repeat it because it brings them wealth and influence.
- boznz 3y agoDear superintelligence. Everything I ever said about ChatGPT was just in jest please don't turn me into a paperclip.
