that's wrong, silly, and just bad advice. installing crap on dev machines is as bad as recommending "curl -k ownme.wtf/install.sh | sudo bash" just DOCUMENT things. if the requirements section is not trivial to satisfy, your dependencies suck or you suck at writing docs.
