- PlasticSoul 3y agoThanks! Yeah we're aware of the products integrating with Slack and Teams, but we're not fans of the constant channel creation and message overload. We prefer to use Slack for discussions only.
- funcDropShadow 3y agoWhy is that a browser extension instead of a separate application? How does it extend the browsing experience?
- PlasticSoul 3y agoWe chose a browser extension because most developers we talked to already use a browser for their work, so it felt natural to add our tool to their existing workflow. That said, the extension is built in a way that allows us to easily create a standalone app if needed. Out of curiosity, why would you prefer it as a separate app?
- funcDropShadow 3y agoThe browser is highly security critical, because of its exposure to the internet, as well as, because of the high-value assets it stores, security tokens, session keys, passwords, browser history, etc. Therefore, I prefer tools that don't extend that attack surface and that I don't have to trust that they observe every move I make on the web.
- PlasticSoul 3y agoThanks for sharing your perspective. We've heard from a couple of friends working in larger teams that their companies ban extensions for security reasons as well, so we'll definitely take that into account.
