Companies would save countless employee hours by making announcements in writing. The idea that the entire staff needs to be online at the same time window to learn what's going on is an extension of "butts in seats" and, from what I can surmise, is purely ego driven.
- djtango 3y agothere are tiers of fidelity when delivering communications. The highest is one on one. The lowest is a short whatsapp. The lower the fidelity the easier it is for the same message to be misinterpreted. I don't particularly like sitting in long meetings but I appreciate that more can be communicated the higher the bandwidth of the medium
