Another day, another lie-strewn clickbait hit piece from so-called "journalists."
Remember kids, lying is okay as long as it's a bilLiOnAIre baD culture war...
>a city of a million people on Mars by 2050 at a cost of up to $10bn a person.
Obviously and disingenuously incorrect.
Musk has (numerous times) pointed out that you won't get to 1 million people if it costs $10b per person. Reducing the cost is the entire thesis.
But sure, why not lie? It makes the audience feel smarter than Musk. That's more important than truth.
>At least Zuckerberg’s anti-democratic measures are expressed as the decrees of a benevolent dictator. Musk exercises no such restraint. In response to the accusation that the US government organised a coup against Evo Morales in Bolivia in order for Tesla to secure lithium there, Musk tweeted: “We will coup whoever we want! Deal with it.”
This was clearly poking fun at bad US foreign policy. To play dumb and pretend Musk was speaking seriously is intentionally misleading to the audience. This is serious journalistic malpractice.
I would say The Guardian should be ashamed for publishing this, but it's clear they have no shame.
