It’s one thing to have “user error” when it means your program can crash and you’ll lose your work. Another thing when your vehicle can crash and you’ll be decapitated by a semi, and the marketing said driver awareness was just an anachronism for “legal purposes”. The whole Silicon Valley yolo culture has permeated too far when it isn’t immediately obvious how stupid our state of commerce has become. I hope this entire planet is wiped out by an asteroid.
- gotoeleven 3y agoAre you by any chance european? Everything has some risk attached to it. The choice is between developing self driving tech and some people dying, or never developing self driving tech. Or if you're european, tut tut about the cowboy americans and their unreasonable risks and then use their self driving tech once its perfected.
- DoesntMatter22 3y agoThis is just a overreaction. I have a honda civic and it's self driving is constantly trying to kill me. It's far worse than anything tesla offers.
- seizethegdgap 3y agoLane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control on Honda vehicles has never been marketed as "self-driving".
