Does this surprise anyone? The current state of ads on Twitter is a vicious cycle of losing sponsors, then replacing them with less reputable ones (such as all kinds of crypto, NFT projects that keep rugging people) which then leads to the more reputable ones not wanting to be on the platform, which leads to more of the same.
Paired with the fact that the platform keeps getting arguably worse in terms of features and especially moderation, as well as the fact that Twitter Blue [1][2] just doesn't cover operational cost and likely never will, I don't see a very bright future for Twitter's monetization, and no amount of changing an established companies name with a letter that makes it sound like a pornsite will change that.
EDIT: Should also mention that by Musk' own admission, the company had already lost 50% of their ad revenue early this year [3].
