Friday Factorio Facts #386 – Vulcanus
- willis936 3y agoIt reminds me a lot of Mindustry's Erekir, both in setting and in some gameplay implications (tungsten deposits, lava as a resource, heat changing gameplay solutions).
- seanhunter 3y agoOh my word. Please tell me we can concrete over that lava, otherwise I am going to fall into it so often it will be almost, but not quite, very funny. (Because my driving totally sucks in this game).
- rokkamokka 3y agoYou can, at least late game > Over time, the lava has become more of a pivotal part of the gameplay because it provides a lot of new opportunities: It is a new obstacle that you can't landfill (for a long time), a new resource, and a new way to void items.
- krallja 3y agoConsider your deaths as penance for not automating construction.
- emmet 3y agothese maps are half cliff and I am afraid
- gooseus 3y agoReally nice rocket launch on these long posts with large images.
- hypercube33 3y agoThis immediately made me think of another Factorio like game I deeply enjoyed for maybe other reasons - the rift breaker
- coprogram 3y agoNice. Super keen for the expansion. I'd assume tungsten mining drills, lava resource extractors and gas pumpjacks will be the major new buildings for this planet. Tungsten will probably be used in advanced buildings (high heat tolerance- lava landfill, rocket engines) and armour equipment as well as science. It seems that tungsten extraction may attract lava biters? The new terrain also looks great and it definitely seems like they're holding up the promise of delivering a whole new game's worth of content with this DLC.
