The merger of biology and silicon is very near. If you join the techno-optimist movement then you can bring it to fruition much faster. Ask Marc Andreesen how you can help, he is the main proponent of this new social movement and has even written a manifesto about its tenants and foundational beliefs. In short, everyone will soon upload their consciousness to the cloud and live as immortal computational avatars in a boundless digital universe composed of very large lambda expressions. Mind you, although it sounds like a religion and/or cult it is not a religion and/or cult because it will make all previous religions and cults completely obsolete. You can also be a cyborg if you wish as long as you are optimistic and willing to dedicate time and effort to helping Marc and his portfolio of mission driven and techno-optimistic companies achieve the AGI singularity. * * This comment was paid for by a16z and is not financial or medical advice.
