I thought M1 was a godlike chip. Why is there a need to upgrade to M1+ 3 years later? For comparison, it took me about 10 years to replace my second gen i7.

- ChadNauseam 3y agoThere really is no need unless you're doing something where you could always benefit from more juice (e.g. video editing). I compile Rust all day on my base M1 and have no complaints
