SpaceX might succeed with Starship and it might fail but I don't think we'll be scratching our heads in 10 years wondering which will be case. SLS? If in 10 years they're still spending money on it to launch it once every couple of years - if it's still in some sort of weird limbo between success and failure - I wouldn't be surprised.
