Study: In the UK, 2.7M households are vegan or vegetarian
- jjgreen 3y agoActually 2.7 million households in the UK have a vegan or vegetarian living on the premises which is a rather different thing ...
- mytailorisrich 3y agoI suspect the fact that vegetarianism is much more common among people of Indian origin has a lot to do with this stat.
- znpy 3y agoI rarely take this kind of posts seriously (whether it's about veganism or something else) because most often it's shameless propaganda, and badly hidden too. > According to a report by NielsenIQ No link to source provided, might as well be made up > approximately 2.7 million households in the UK have a vegan or vegetarian living on the premises which is a rather different thing from being vegan or vegetarian, as some other commenter correctly noted > and 10.5 million households replace meat-based meals with vegan or vegetarian alternatives at least once a week[2] I drink soy milk because by getting old i stopped properly digesting cow milk and some other dairy products. Also, tonight I had pasta with tomato sauce and no meat. Would this article count me as a vegan? Does that remark even makes sense? vegetables aren't exclusively for vegan people's consumption. And there goes my attention, I won't bother reading further, can't get any better given the premises.
