- stonogo 3y agoCare to name any?
- ksherlock 3y agoThe Trump Organization files a lot of nuisance lawsuits.
- h2odragon 3y agoask a Search site for "Dominion Sues" and you'll find rather a lot.
- lern_too_spel 3y agoFox didn't think the lawsuits were stupid. https://apnews.com/article/fox-news-dominion-lawsuit-trial-trump-2020-0ac71f75acfacc52ea80b3e747fb0afe https://apnews.com/article/fox-news-dominion-lawsuit-trial-t... Given the way other defamation lawsuits are going, there's a good chance the lawyers for the other parties Dominion is suing don't think the lawsuits are stupid either. https://abcnews.go.com/US/giuliani-sanctioned-judge-defamation-case-brought-2-georgia/story?id=102723328 https://abcnews.go.com/US/giuliani-sanctioned-judge-defamati...
- seattle_spring 3y agoAre you suggesting that the Dominion suits were routine and possibly frivolous?
- h2odragon 3y agoI might go so far as to call them barratry.
- seattle_spring 3y agoThen you obviously only learned about them from Fox News themselves. They are very much not frivolous lawsuits, and the information contained within them more than made a rock solid case.
- repelsteeltje 3y ago> But, then, on Monday evening, the lawsuit finally came, and it was glorious. Gloriously stupid. I think Mike's point is that this for the most part initially looked more like the other routine thing. The one of Elon threatening with a lawsuit, but then just: crickets.
- brodouevencode 3y agoMaybe, but why go through a lawsuit if you can use the power of the site to get your point across? If Musk can simultaneously get MM to back off their activities while gaining public favor in the process just by simply announcing a lawsuit then there would be no need for the expense. At the same time, if there's something really there (and let's be honest, discovery can take any amount of time) he can pursue it. You don't have to like/agree with Musk to understand that being loud about things you don't like when there's already a public predisposition by half the country is a good opening salvo.
- seattle_spring 3y agoIt's bad to hate on a guy who repeatedly puts himself in the spotlight doing and saying stupid things... why exactly?
