I read of a guy using a virus to deliver the DNA to his gut to fix his lactose intolerance. That was the first thing I read that made me feel more comfortable with the idea of gene therapy. I'm not readily finding an explanation for how CRISPR works that makes sense to me and the current top comment* indicates this isn't actually a cure.
