Basically, you add it as a query parameter, as in https://www.google.com/search?tbs=li:1&q=whatever https://www.google.com/search?tbs=li:1&q=whatever. This is the same as the Tools > Verbatim option on the Google search results page. But you can define your own search shortcut or search provider that always includes it in the search URL.
