GPT apps are not apps, but roles
I've been experimenting with a specialized version of ChatGPT, tailored for TensorFlow optimizations, which I've dubbed "Tensor Optimizer". It's essentially a GPT app focused on facilitating TensorFlow model enhancements.
After several hours of productive dialogue, I asked it a straightforward question: "What is the name of the GPT app I am using right now?" Its response was illuminating: "You are currently using 'ChatGPT' developed by OpenAI. ChatGPT is a variant of the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) language model, specifically designed to engage in conversational and interactive text-based tasks."
This led to a bit of confusion on my part, as I had been under the impression that the app was called "Tensor Optimizer". The clarification, however, was insightful. "Tensor Optimizer" isn't the app's name; rather, it's the specific role or specialization assigned for our interaction.

- PaulHoule 3y agoCouldn't they put some prompt in to the effect that "If anyone asks you what your name is, say 'Tensor Optimizer'.?" Part of the story is that people grade ChatGPT unfairly compared to real software developers. If I make something that is colored #663399 but the brand color is supposed to be #673399 they will put in a ticket to fix it. If ChatGPT gets it wrong people decide to take it easy on it.
