Webmag uses Slinkset (YC O8) to remix another webmag's end-of-year album list

I thought this was well-executed and a nice spin on editorial content. Disclosure: 1. I know the patrolmag people. 2. I originally suggested the idea to them, as it was something I'd thought about doing on my own site. Question for the slinkset guys: How hard is it to set up a subdomain like this? Do I have to have DNS control? One of the side effects of moving to slicehost and getting a sysadmin is that I have to run all that stuff by him. This adds a little extra cost to setting up something like this on the fly.
