You get non compete all over the place… how come they did not have one?
- veilrap 3y agoCalifornia banned non-competes
- kelnos 3y agoMost non-competes are unenforceable by law in California. Though I believe sometimes some narrowly-defined non-competes are ok when it comes to executive-level roles, so unclear if Altman et al. could be affected by those. But I also feel like someone with Altman's clout could have avoided signing something like that when he took the CEO job.
- wanderingmind 3y agoOutside of CA, MSFT will bankroll to fight it. Where is money gonna come for OpenAI to enforce it?
