When Am I Ever Going to Use This?(Math)

The kids love being in a band: when you love doing something you don't ask yourself "why will I need this"? When you love playing a video game you never ask yourself "Why will I need this" and yet you learn complex game mechanics because you "love doing it for the sake of it". But people don't find most math useful. I use a lot of math every day due to my own job and yet 80% of math that I learned in high school and college is totaly useless to me and I don't need it and was bored to death when learning it. If one doesn't find it applicable to something he loves he will hate it.
