...isn't this just a techbro restatement of how many art dealers operate? full article is paywalled but gagosian seems to have grown big enough people ignore the primary market and how it promotes artist discovery.
this is not necessarily to say it's a bad idea or that modernization is unwarranted but it's not quite as revolutionary as they think
