I was hospitalised for two days because of a cat bite and when talking to a nurse was told that she had treated someone who lost a leg!

  I totally believe it. At first I thought the guy had had a really bad car accident.

    I should point out that my situation (and the lady who lost her leg) were caused by infections from cat bites - which I now know to be potentially rather serious if left untreated.

      I assumed that was the case, not that a cat had amputated a leg :)
