    sounds like it validates that this is about him pursuing profit too hard / inappropriately. He's sarcastically pointing out that he has no personal profit motive.

      Who knows, money is not the only thing that motivates us. Power, influence, fame, ego etc are the thing that drives people too and can blind them.
