- zmmmmm 3y agosounds like it validates that this is about him pursuing profit too hard / inappropriately. He's sarcastically pointing out that he has no personal profit motive.

- lannisterstark 3y agoBecause a lot of instant news is posted there, most of which is fairly up to date, and it's legitimately useful to a lot of us. You've been complaining about twitter links all day. You don't have to click on them and comment about it if you don't like it. You can just...not do any of that and move on.

- bbor 3y agoCan someone translate this to explicit terms? My layman (non-MBA) brain thinks this is a blackmail threat, which seems like a very unexpected place to take all this
- mikeyouse 3y agoNah - He's just joking that if he starts spilling the company secrets behind him getting fired, the board should try to take his shares. The joke of course is that he famously owns zero equity in the company.

- seydor 3y agoUff, so now we have to pick sides. My bet is that Sutskever overestimates his ability to run the company and keep it ahead, and what Altman&Brockman will create will be more successful than openAI medium term. Microsoft will probably hire all the engigners it needs for itself. It would be interesting if, as a side effect of this bitter breakup, we end up learning more about the internals of GPT4 We shouldn't be worried about the future of Ai. More competition is good
