The article uses words like “expect”, “might”, “could”, and “hope” throughout. Look at where 2023 is on those charts: way to the left on the x-axis.
I hope batteries really do get cheaper in the future but this is optimistic prediction headlined as present-tense fact.
- elzbardico 3y agoAnd a prediction based in a transitory problem with the market, where we have lots of inventory and production cuts. Of course the prices of the raw materials for batteries are going to fall if the demand fall. Is it an indicative of a longer term trend? No.
