What can you do in Perl that can't be done in Python? Everybody has bought into Python nowadays. Even Program Managers can bash out Python scripts.
- arp242 3y agoNothing. But that's the answer to "what can do in $X that can't be done in $Y" for most values of $X and $Y. The point isn't about Perl or Python, it's about that if there's a working solution that works well then embarking on a project to "modernize" it for no reason other than the choice of language perceived to be "old-fashioned" (a completely subjective assessment) is almost always bad thing.
