- Beached 3y agohardly call it stealing. they decided to no longer work for the previously agreed upon compensation package. the employer found new employees that would do the work they need done. no one stole anything. I agree and encourage unions and collective bargaining, but a strike breaker is hardly a thief, they are just a worker who needs money like the guy striking
- simlevesque 3y ago> they are just a worker who needs money like the guy striking I need a house and you do too. Let me live in your house since we both need it.
- johngladtj 3y agoThe job doesn't belong to you
- anon291 3y ago> They steal their livelyhood, it's not a misunderstanding. Should not be legal anywhere. If you're no longer working your job, it's no longer your livelihood. That's your right of course, but you don't own a job anymore than the company owns you.
- BiteCode_dev 3y agoThat's the same thing as scab, reframing an attidude that is a sane disagreement and need as a crime. You don't have to agree with any political movement out there. And the strike is a right. A job is not. You already can't be fired for striking which is huge. Wanting other people that have no dog in this fight to accomodate you doesn't seem reasonable. And framing that the way you do is more virtue signaling and pandering than debating.
- epgui 3y agoI think I’m very pro-worker/pro-littleguy/pro-union but I don’t think this makes sense at all.
- lotsofpulp 3y agoBusinesses and individuals should not be able to sell their products and services at different prices than competing businesses and individuals.
- klyrs 3y agoMedically speaking, scabs are good, right? If your blood didn't clot, and didn't form scabs, you'd bleed out from a small cut.
