Its weird to hear " future american shenzhen". that already exists and is called silicone valley.
Guangzhou is the manufacture powerhouse of china. Which is, a stone throw from its silicon Valley, shenzhen.
But I believe shenzhen as a tech hub was selected for proximity to Hong Kong not because of Guangzhou.

- ajmurmann 3y agoShenzhen is known for hardware manufacturing while SV is known now for software. Is this not correct?
- georgeplusplus 3y agoI wouldn't say that. The fabrication of circuit boards or chips is certainly not something shenzhen is known for. Tencent and DJI is headquartered there for instance.
