Complete clickbait as autopilot had nothing to do with the death.
- swatcoder 3y agoThe idea of a somebody being disabled or even dead while a self-driving car continues running is an interesting one to think about, and the event provides an opportunity to do so. And it's not antagonistic: one can even come away from it being grateful that it was a self-driving car, as in the article: > It's an interesting example of a driver assistance feature interacting with a real-world crisis in complex ways. While the Tesla of course wasn't able to do anything about Turen's condition, the incident does make you wonder what would've happened to the producer and his son without the driver assistance feature being turned on. So it sounds like good and pretty responsible reporting, regardless of the headline. Given that the story was about the combination of the medical emergency and the Tesla being on autopilot, is there a headline you think might have been better?
- yetihehe 3y ago> is there a headline you think might have been better Maybe "Tesla autopilot saves child during driver's medical emergency".
- CharlesW 3y agoIt could be considered clickbait in the sense that the title doesn’t give away the conclusion, but the story itself is balanced. Autopilot may have saved the child’s life.
