Show HN: I made a silly personal landing page
Also, yes I am looking for a new role. And yes, I should have been spending my time looking for suitable roles instead of building this.
- tmporter 3y agoCute, reminds me of the classic pointerpointer.com. I was slightly disappointed that you didn't go cross-eyed when I moved the mouse between your eyes.
- par 3y agoSeems very easy to implement and really fun!
- brink 3y agoThis is a page that people will remember, creativity like this pays off. Nice work!
- toasted-subs 3y agoTracking reminds me of Wario!
- darkwater 3y agoXEyes vibes :)
- ledauphin 3y agoThis is wonderful! A feature request: when I hover over your nose, I would like to see you cross your eyes!
- mfbx9da4 3y agoHopefully this feature request is now fulfilled
- johndunne 3y agoAs soon as I realised op was following my every click that’s exactly where I clicked - the nose! Great landing page!
- enobrev 3y agoFirst thing I tried. If it were _truly_ silly, it would have a cross-eyed photo. I think it's fantastic, otherwise.

- quectophoton 3y agoOr repeatedly raise and lower eyebrows while the cursor hovers over a link.
- spking 3y agoAwesome! Reminds me of the Peter Gabriel video for Sledgehammer.
- nomel 3y agoVery neat! Reminds me of this: https://pointerpointer.com https://pointerpointer.com I'll say, I'm very disappointed in what happens when I put the cursor between your eyes. :)
- Gerard0 3y agoThis is great! Haha
- willsmith72 3y agolove it this is the kind of creativity that won't come from an LLM (at this stage). it might be able to build it perfectly, but really creative idea generation still greatly benefits from human touch
- samlu 3y agoTop left sector seems to have one photo too few, rest is amazing! (And ofc cross eyes pls)
- shoelessone 3y agoFYI some of your GitHub links seem to have been hijacked, might want to update. E.g. seem carver. Cool personal site!
- mfbx9da4 3y agoAh thanks for letting me know, that's a very old project and I lost access to that domain because I missed the expiration emails.
- prameshbajra 3y agoOh my god! So awesome haha!!
- spikey_sanju 3y agoAwesome work!
- tomp 3y agohaha I like it!
- NarcisMirandes 3y agoI like this! tech and form. By the way, I first tried with Safari and it does not work. Then I tested in Chrome, Brave and Edge and it works well. Some problem with Safari?
- NarcisMirandes 3y agoWhat technology/programs did you use?
- handyj 3y agoHeh. Made me smile. Thanks.
