Traveling cannabis consumers – check cannabis legality in your current location
- howie-doin 3y agoBuilt this tool because it's hard to keep track of the constantly changing laws, especially in the US. Send over your feature requests and let me know what you think!
- progne 3y agoThere would seem to be risk of your site being repurposed as a honeypot by authorities, and investigating sources of requests made to it from their jurisdiction.
- howie-doin 3y agoWhat do you anticipate they would do with this information? To me, it seems analogous to searching news stories or encyclopedia articles since we pull it from already public data sources.
- progne 3y agoIn say Iran? Search the requester for cannabis. In the U.S. there are stories of law enforcement following people home from hydroponics shops and searching their trash, same idea.
- h2odragon 3y agoallow manual entry of location "is it legal where im planning to go?" is a valid question too user comments on actual enforcement in specific cities / counties might be good; state laws are rarely the last word. Could allow room for a score of "social tolerance" as well. you might have to categorize "legal weedlikes" and delta8 etc.
