- Alethios 3y agoFWIW, I've lived in Thailand and Nepal. I've travelled reasonably extensively through Borneo, Vietnam, Laos, and India. Visited Hong Kong, Cambodia, Singapore. Did an exchange with a Japanese boy from Hiroshima as a kid. All of those places are amazing in their own ways, but I maintain that Taiwan is both incredibly special, and perhaps the most underappreciated.
