In 2006 I shipped my iBook to Apple to fix its screen bezel. I made a Flash animation where my laptop cheekily described its issue, thanking the technicians in advance, and I made it launch on startup.
The iBook came back with a factory reset. I restored from backup and stopped anthropomorphizing my computers.
