You raise a good point that large collections have enough value to
motivate people.
The idea of trading "discoverables" is solid. Like in the zine or
warez culture it's great to trade a big cache with others. There is a
trust issue, that some will poison the well with their malware or
spam, but many new solutions do seem to take-off out of mutually
motivated sharing. Perhaps something as simple as a library/standard
for "exchanging trusted link collections" - and there almost as
in-built webserver function would be a game changer.
Like if https://links.example.com/json https://links.example.com/json always returned a most recently
verified bundle.
