My daily driver is PHEV and I love it. I’ll likely drive it till it disintegrates. But. Very little people would care to charge PHEV on any regular schedule. So you end up getting more expensive car, with bigger battery, that’s driven just as a hybrid. You can see that with current sales - they often are bought purely because of subsides, and used as normal hybrid.
