The premise of "gatekeepers" is strange. They try to sell what they have available, understand and know their margins on the sale and long-term on services. If they could get more money selling EVs they'd do that, but any car dealership with money blocked in inventory would try to sell this first. This don't look like an "anti EV evil trust", just basic market forces at work.
