I am intrigued! Can you say more? Did anyone get caught?

  Not really much more. I quit the moment I heard it. Got some threatening letters from a lawyer. The director was deported shortly afterwards. Then I immediately went and worked for an even bigger turd where I quit by lunch time on the first day.
