I wonder if one could do better by using a HackerRF and spy on LTE+WiFi communications. You wouldn't need to decrypt them, just identify how many different devices there are.
- kevindamm 3y agoa lot of devices, especially phones, will randomize the hardware MAC address when on an unknown network or doing open pings, but if a known SSID is found it will use a consistent, and often correct, MAC
