Can apps access the information whether a location based notification has been delivered even when the user does not click it? In any case, this is quite visible to the user. I’d definitely be suspicious about apps showing me this kind of notification without asking for it.

  It might be a non-issue but it was certainly interesting to discover that an app can have "only in-use" permissions yet trigger location based events while closed.
