Was he talking about culture? Because I’m not familiar with any movement attempting to get people of lower intellect included in creative processes. Modern inclusivity in the arts instead tends to involve gender, skin color, and sexual orientation.
But the article does have some very good points, even if the author’s usage of the word “woke” could get him some flak. I definitely feel audiences (and even critics) tend to increasingly view art through the lens of moral rectitude.
- drngdds 3y agoI actually really appreciate his use of the term "woke." It lets me know early on that his opinion isn't one that's going to be worth spending my time on. Not to say that no criticism of progressives is ever valid, of course, but the term itself is a strong signal that nothing new to me is going to follow it.
