You are on point - I am in my 40s with young kids and I feel like the American hyper-protective helicopter parenting is way out of hand. Yeah - and when we get together with friends it's a party with no set end time. If people can't drive they stay over or take an Uber. I've woken up with my fair share of hangovers. Just because we are adults does not mean we can't have fun.
