A lot of threads I've come across on the internet about bicycle helmets where many people chime in reports of how they broke bones and bounced their heads off the pavement in unprovoked, low speed crashes.
Drawing from a deep well of ignorance these same people adopt self-righteous tones to inform me that anyone who rides a bicycle without a helmet is an idiot.
