If the scenarios were that uncommon, it wouldn't be worth fixing. And now that they're accepted, they will undoubtedly proliferate. This is the new common.
- estebank 3y agoLanguage design and compiler engineering is about tackling progressively smaller niche cases, as the prior ones are addressed. One can draw a line in the sand and say "I'm done, the next niche use case is too niche and the added maintenance burden isn't worth it", but where that line is drawn is different for different products.
