Semen has the opposite problem of Elle. The English translation isn't good for a name.
Perhaps the website could add dictionary definitions of the names in each language to help avoid these issues

I think that's their point. > add dictionary definitions ... to help avoid these issues It doesn't give definitions, but it kinda already does that by showing you it's a word in the other language (rather than just a name), so you know you'd better look it up before use.
